Another new arrival...

Had this arrive today, despite being in very good order and a low miles car it has a nasty clank inside the engine, not a typo as it sounds like a small hammer is having fun soimehwere in the oily section.
I have an engine ready to transplant once I find time, or get the Dedra somewhere near completion.
Once up and running I'll have a look inside the original motor to see if it can be saved to keep it a matching numbers car..

OK it is green, which I usually avoid like the plague but when clean it actually looks nice and is a refreshing change from the usual Alfa red and the fading issues that brings.
Not sure about the big rear spoiler but let's get it running first...

A phase 2 car so has the nicer (in my opinion) interior with the 156 style climate control dials.
Cloth seats too which I really do prefer. Leather is nice to look at and in the Alfa case they are actually nice to sit on, but if it's been sat in the sun then get ready for some burnt nether regions!
And if it's cold then get ready for the chill to set in...!

That’s a great colour Kev, I’ve always liked it and it’s same I think as Mrs veesix75 first Alfa a s3 33.

Looks great with tan leather, but I also like the s2 cloth seats, I had a s2 same spec as yours but vela blue.it wasn’t mine, it was a lease car a had for 1 year, it was quick and handled well for the time.

Hi Kev. That looks lovely. As for the leather seat decision. I’m getting used to the seats I’ve put in the spider but we’re not at the height of summer yet. As for the cold I’m hoping that with the new garage extension the idea is it’ll be stored indoors over the winter. That said. I do find the MOMO leather quite firm so I’m going to see how I get on this year
I’m keeping the cloth interior in the attic for safe keeping in case I want I swap it back

Cheers guys, interesting you had one as a company car Tim!
I've been looking through the paperwork tonight, seems I have a very good service history and pretty much all the MoT's so the mileage of around 46k can be confirmed as genuine, despite it having a knackered engine of course!
Plan is still to swap out the engine so I can use the car then rebuild the original one, once I have the Lancia Dedra done! :?
