Alfa 147 to scrap or not

Post by Alfastrut »

A the moment I've got a 147 1.6 53 plate 90000 miles. It's coming up for it's mot in a few months. It will need a front arm, possibly a back box and a little bit of welding to the rear sill other than that it solid . It's a 2 door car with Aircon and sunroof. I only use it very occasionally. I only paid £700 for it five years ago so I've had my money out of it .
The question is do I scrap it and get £250 back on it or stick it in the garden covered up and wait till it starts appreciating ?

Pleased to learn that I am not the only 147 owner here. My 2.0TS passed the MOT without any advisories a few months ago and the next day it started giving me false a brake light failure warning every time I drive it! Far too good to scrap and they are rare now.
