Lancia Y10 GTie

Post by KevJTD »

I've come to the conclusion, not before time, that I have far too many cars and projects to ever make any kind of sense in keeping them all. The recent purchase of the GTV and subsequentally the parts from Lou prompted me to sit back and look, and wonder what on earth I'm doing!
With the integrale doen and hardly used, the Dedra turbo in the process of being done and will be kept, the GTV which keeps me in a classic Alfa, plus of course the Clio 172 (yet to use) and the Flavia coupe to even remotely make plans to start, not forgetting the MR2 to also get properly onto the "to do" list then something has to be done.
As much as I'd like to keep them all I have to start to get things in order, the Y10 is a great little car but I can't recall using it at all since getting it back off Richard last year. Seems a bit daft to tax and insure it

So if anyone wants a cheap, useable half decent but very rare Italian classic in an even rarer model of a rare car then read on!

It is a K plate 1992 1301cc multi-point fuel injection car so runs beautifully, even has around 75bhp or so, not bad for a 30 year old car!
Equipment level on these was great, central locking, electric windows, alloy wheels, 5 speed, Alcantara seats and door cards, this car has a super rare factory tilt and slide sunroof.
The car has about 48k on the clock with a huge histroy file, Lancia club member owned for years.
It was painted about 10 or so years ago and they colour coded the hatch, a brand new hatch at that, but the glass seal wasn't fitted greatly so has some ugly sealer in it to prevent water getting in, needs tidying better really. There is a couple of corners of the roof where rust is coming out at the sunroof opening, a bubble or two on the rear arches where they seem to go, but overall very presentable.
The MoT runs to September but I'll put a fresh one on for the asking price, or bid me on it as is.
I had intemnded to completely strip the car as I did the LX one last year but the realisation that I have limited time and enthusiasm and more rewarding projects sat waiting means I am selling it so someone else can enjoy it, rather than it being an ornament in my unit.

£2,000 for a rare car seems cheap to me, but that's what I feel it's market value is at being the top model of Y10 for the year. Only the super rare turbo would trump it, but they were discontinued in favour of these GTie's

If anyone wants to view it I'd be willing to meet up.
