Alfa Brera 2.4 JTD

Post by KevJTD »

Probably going to be selling my Brera fairly soon, not really big enough for my needs.
I bought it cheapish as it had quite a few faults and the lady had been quoted a fortune by Alfa to fix them! All faults fixed I hasten to ad!
It's got a huge history file with all the big jobs done, DMF and clutch done so all gears and clutch take up are perfect.
Belts done about 2 years ago.
Has 198k on the clock but doesn't feel like it's done half that.
Is the SV model so has the full glass panoramic roof.

Loads of features,
Cruise control,
Memory leather seats,
Climate control with cold AC,
6 speed,
200bhp diesel so bags of torque.

Mot is to around May but willing to put another full year on it.

Offers invited...

Just to add a few details to answer a few questions,
it has the Brembo 4 pot calipers with 330mm discs
full width of the roof tinted glass panoramic roof with an electrically retractable sunblind inside the car
nothing really due for change soon, has had the very expensive rear exhaust boxes renewed last year (genuine Alfa items) so tailpipes shine up great
electrically adjustable in all directions front seats
split fold rear seats so quite a decent space when folded down

as I said I got it for a decent price with quite a few faults which have all been solved.
broken osf spring changed, still have the new nsf one to fit which will go with the car but fine as is
new rear pads fitted, fronts are still good
nsf abs sensor changed, wasn't the fault! wiring fixed, abs ebd etc all work fine now.
new thermostat fitted so up to temp properly and sticks at 90 degs, common for jtd's to take an age then sit around 70
has the 18" alloys which could really do with a refurb
bonnet has stonechips to the front, common on 159 & brera apparently, guess 12 years and all those miles following poeple will take their toll!
i have 2 keys and the V5 in my name
available whenever for a view/test drive

mot is actually to 20th June so longer than i thought.
did plan on putting a fresh mot on it and asking around £2,000 for it in a month or so but will be up for a half decent offer to take as is especially now the mot is longer than i thought!

even at £2k it's a cheap brera, there's none on auto trader within £650 of that. even on ebay there's nothing, unless you want a non runner at £1475 or one with no mot for £2k!

no resoanble offer refused guys, be happy to see someone on here grab a bargain than deal with the facebook/ebay/AT guys...

If I was gonna offer to anyone on here Dave I would try and be as honest as possible, not worth upsetting any of you guys to make a quick buck.
Really glad Matthew seems to have taken a shine to it, really was a great car for crunching the miles, sure he'll get plenty of good use out of it.
Hope he'll let you have a go after all the help you were ;)

My son Matthew bought this Brera from Kev 5 years ago.
Has been used sparingly and now has 206K on the clock.

He needs to sell it now due to stretched finances.

Has an MoT until August.

Runs well, and pulls like a train. Doesn't use oil or water.

Car is in Stockport, Gtr Manchester.

Looking for £1800.

Any questions, just ask.

The cambelt snapped on the Motorway at 80 mph!

Its an SV model with black leather etc
