Alfa 145 with coupe 20v turbo

Post by alfachris »

I started building this Alfa 145 with coupe 20v turbo in it for a friend as a track day car and usable on the road aswell.

We wanted a phase 1 car as their don't rust like 99/00 cars. The coupe was a non runner with gear change problems. It had no code light working on the dash which was just a fuse after replacing it the run sweet and the gear linkage was seized on the top of the gearbox.

The spec of the Alfa 145 is now
Coupe 20v turbo engine and box
K&N air filter
Fmic
Gtech 1 chip
Boost gauge
Bailey dump valve
Turbo timer
Full roll cage
Bucket seats
Harness
Grooved/drilled discs front and rear
Hel 6 line braided hose
Blue race brake fluid
2 1/4 coilovers
Brembo front calipers
Stainless steel exhaust system
Phase 2 front and rear bumpers
New cam belt kit
Coupe 20v turbo alloy with 195/45 16 tyres

I'm upload pics in a few days

My friend said he was thinking about selling it. He told me how much he wanted..................I had to buy it

I've done all the work doing the car he just was paying for it and going to have it.
It's sad as is so close to having finished but he's just about to be out of work but that's what happens sometimes when your semi employed.

I'm collecting a free 145 for interior to go back in the 145 20vt but will still have front bucket seats, roll cage and harness will be removable. The 145 is going to be used everyday so needs back seats for my kids

I didn't collect the free 145 as just leaving the car as a track day toy as well as s road car but with front seats only.
I've donr a few more bits today nearside lower arm, poly bushed drop link, finished the nearside roll cage mounts cleaned and treated some light rust on nearside floor pan.
Still need to do 2 small bits of welding on the nearside but ran out of gas.

Haven't done anything to it for over a week as have been off work with a bad back
