Re colouring trim

Help !!
When I bought my 916 spider it suffered from the common problem of seat belt damage to the door cards. The car has blue cloth seats which I’m replacing with blue leather MOMO seats. Now My car has what I believe is called “blue style” trim.
(Apparently ph2 spiders had either Blue or Black style trim options). So I managed to find a mint pair of “Blue style” cards Complete with blue leather inserts. But there’s a slight issue. When I offer the door card up the dash looks Grey’er And there’s an obvious mismatch. The leather insert panel is fine and matches the seats. It’s the main body of the door card that’s the problem. has anyone had any experience With vinyl paint or dye ?
