It WAS worth it. I knew all about the boxer engine and love it to bits but this V6. Wow!

Well there's at least two GTV6's on here then !

Love mine too although the 80's Heating and Ventilation systems leave a lot to be desired on a Winters night. Let's not say anything about the Headlights............

Incidentally I put Relays in for the Headlights, stops the sizzle and the nightmare vision of the Stalk Switch burning out and although I could be kidding myself I feel sure that I did get an extra 'alf a candle worth of light out of them !

I just had the driving lights replaced by AJ in Bosham. Driving the car home after the initial purchase the lights were deadly. I couldn't even see to keep in lane. I saw your posting - in another place! - on adding relays to the lighting circuit. I will give that a go some day. In the meantime the replacement headlight units are good enough....just! We should get a few GTV's together sometime. As it stands I am taking mine to biamf in April. There are other meets I would like to attend but nothing is really sorted. How about you, Nige?

Interesting about the lights Steve. Did you manage to get new RHD Outer Headlights ? Haven't looked for a while but last I heard these were still not available. Have bought a few from e Bay described as " Good " , yep, most of 'em very good indeed - for the bin. Can recommend the Relay mod, an easy afternoons work and well worth while if only for peace of mind re the Stalk Switch.

Although mine is nominally " on the road " haven't been out in it for a few weeks now so looking forward to that, think that I'll just have to ignore the wet and muddy roads and get on with it. First things first though, the Battery is flat, perhaps buying an e Bay cheapo last year was a false economy. Must get a new Strut for the Hatch too, if I leave that much longer I may truly become a headless - ( insert whatever seems best here. )

Bristol is a long haul from here so probably won't make that but am not going to rule it out completely. Probably make MITCAR and depending on locations the AROC ones too. Hopefully once this site takes off we can organize our own Meets and get together that way too.

My new dipped lights are LHD. The full beam are the originals and work pretty well. May see you at MITCAR.

plan for mine is a twin spark / carbs / cams... they give good bhp and not much more weight than the old 2.0 engine :D
