Site Time.

Post by Nige005 »

Don't know if you are aware of this but I've just noticed that the site is on UTC ( GMT ) so right now the Posting Times displayed on any Posts made are minus one hour from the UK local time.

Now this isn't a problem for me, just thought I'd make you aware in case you hadn't realized.

Yup .. noticed the same nige ... just been in the global settings and it just gives options for UTC .. not GMT ... I'm sure this can be easily altered by an admin ... :)

Hi Joe. UTC IS GMT, just another name for it. What a lot of UK based sites do is to adjust for BST. As I said, it doesn't matter much, just surprised when I apparently Posted this morning whilst still in bed......

Probably didn't make it clear in my Post.

Hi

You can adjust it in your control panel then go to board preferences and scroll down to summer time ;)

And another thought on this........

If different users are using different time zones to Post and the time zone stamped on the Posts are effectively set by the individual user then I could end up replying to a Post that hasn't yet yet been Posted, seems I'm much better at time travelling than I realized.........

Back to the future or is it speeding to the past ?

Me 'ead ''urts !
