Another 'big hint drop' that I don't have a classic ... :D ....

Yet!

i can just see you in a nice Spider, shades on, roof down, wicker champers hamper in the back and off to a Lincs picnic meet! ha ha!

not just the brown sauce thing........seems being understood isn't to be taken for granted

was at brands today with my rob, bsb racing.
went to a burger van to get a tea and a coke.
woman said "what?"
"a tea and a coke please" i replied
"a what" she says

now, i know i'm from lincolnshire and we were down south, but surely it isn't that hard to understand me?

"a tea and a coke" i reply again,

oh, "chips & curry" she says

wtf???

bloke standing next to me couldn't believe it either, "he wants a tea and coke" he says in his best scotts twang,

bloody hell i though, that'll confuse her!

sure enough she goes "oh, a tea and a coffee!"

lol.

shame it rained a lot, but a good day out.

never been to brands, always put off by the distance to go and being told years ago it was a crap track.

is a long way to go there and back in a day (300 mile round trip) but an awesome place to watch the action from 8-)

and i had brown sauce on a bacon roll first off, then a bacon cheeseburger, with onions. siad to be so good they should be illegal..........hmn.

You know its actually funny how you guys have the talent of switching between accents like flicking on a button ...

Last time I was with Eddie in his V8 Sud, he was talking all normally to me, and then he saw a mate passing by in his van...

he picked up his phone and rang him up !

Then he started talking to him like he was a different person, raised in a different part of the world !

mid volume and calm chatting, instantly became high toned sharp yelling Oi Aye Ei Ui ... the words in between I couldnt understand one bit

Just a bit of an update for you all today, having spent many an hour geeking with our resident web guru, we are a whole lot closer to the sister site for post 98 alfa models, ModernAlfaForum.com

The webspace has been purchased, the domain name applied to it, and the welcome pages that folk will land on, whether searching for the modern or classic site, has been designed, with button options for either site, from either search, if that makes sense?

We did as much as we could today, and now the servers have to refresh, globally, before we can do much more and see the fruits of our labours.

A few modifications and a bit if background tidying up on the CAF site too, but most will go unoticed if im honest, but rest assured, plenty achieved to keep things smooth running on here, and many steps closer to the sister site MAF (ironically!)

A good day for all of us
