Newark Air Museum

Post by Fiatchris »

Hi all, sorry about the short notice but this weekend, Saturday the 7th March there is an Aero jumble at Newark air museum, http://www.newarkairmuseum.org/2015-Spr ... ojumble_01
It is really interesting and bargains to be had AND it is cheaper to get in to the superb museum as well, I think Jules and I had a discussion about Newark at one of the Pizza and Pint evenings, as he had been to a car show there.
Me and the youngster are planning to pop down.... beats shopping and ballet lesson!
Car wise a guy always turns up in a Mosckvitch of all things!!

I love the V-Bombers. But I prefer my Cold War bombers finished in anti-flash white, and flying at 60,000 ft, rather than DPM and hedge-hopping!

Victor has to be my all-time favourite, but I used to live a stone's throw from the old Vickers plant at Weybridge, so the Valiant runs strong with me too. And Concorde of course!

I must visit the air museum one day. And Cosford and all the others I haven't been to

You haven't been to Cosford? Seriously. it is awesome, all 3 whole (not just noses) V bombers under one roof with lightnings etc hanging from the ceiling? and that's just a quarter of the museum and it is free entry. Top day out!

I know, I know!

And they have a whole TSR2 (in anti-flash white of course) as well as Blue Streak and well... it's pretty much first on the list once I get mobile again!

Hope you had a good day at Newark!
