I'll be there and hope to bring my Race Sud - Duxford is only around 15 miles away from me. Spent hours and hours in there when my lad when through his planes mad phase!

Great place to spend a day.

Tickets bought and printed off.

Nothing anyone can do about the weather but Duxford is still a great place to go. Loads of interesting stuff in all the hangers so plenty to do when drying out.

See you all there. Ted

Turned out to be a great day! Could have done with a bit of sunshine and added warmth but the rain held off and the quality of the cars made up for it. We've not been to an Alfa meet for well over 20years so it was interesting to see the mix of cars change significantly although there still seemed a healthy supply of Spiders and GTV6. We chatted to a number of owners, sorry can't recall who you where, and picked up some great tips and advice.

The Sprint got us home safely but has highlighted an issue with out of round wheels, this was pointed out to us when we had the front wheels balanced last week but I'd not had the chance to road test until today. Looking forward to the Suds in the Sun later in the year.

a great day yet again, what's not to like about a day talking car stuff with like minded enthusiasts 8-)

some cracking cars there with seemingly more classics than ever before, quite a few new suds that i for one have not seen before so i do hope they take the invitation to join the forum to get amongst us all.

great to meet a few new forum members which i've not met before, and all those that i have previously. sorry if i didn't remember all your names, but i do remember your cars!! :) missed pat yet again!

at last i got to see kieths' car and it was well deserved of the most crowd attracted throughout the day, a real stunner mate and a credit to your hard work. the pix (which looked fab) don't do it justice ;)

and the family didn't even complain too much at being dragged there, helps having somewhere to go look around rather than car chat :D

roll on MITCAR, i'm sure we will have a bumper sud turnout ;)

Thanks for the kind words Kev,
Like you, sorry Pat I was also hoping to meet up and have a natter with you as well.
The day stayed dry and like you said , it was nice to see some more Suds there. Pity we couldn't get them all together, roll on MITCAR
Nice to meet up with Gary (love your Sprint), Kev, Paul, Ted and the others who share the passion.

What a great line-up, thanks for sharing Keith. All that Alfa loveliness, and Concorde, SR71 and U2 in the hanger... I'm so envious. That's twice I have missed a SAD at Duxford now, I'll be darned if I miss another one...

Lauren

PS - loving the Campags on the 'Sud Ti (S1?) and the 116 Giulietta with the turbos...

Hi all

gutted i missed the season kick off, and duxford itself, but conspiracies prevented it, and so be it.

great turn out and pictures, little wonder Keiths beauty is well featured, stunning!

nice to see a good 33 turn out, i know they've been organising themselves on FB quite a while so good to see it come to fruition, and the weather holding off is icing on the cake i guess.

keep it coming,

i need my fix......

Looks like it was a good event and a very decent turnout of 'Suds. Keith's car is obviously a stunner and one hell of a headturner. I love that little red series 1 too, FJO 238S, sitting nicely on those alloys. I've never seen that car before, looks a beauty.

I can't believe the other yellow 'sud was there and I missed it again. I can't believe I have still never seen it...it must be written in the stars somewhere that I am destined never to set eyes on it....

Some great cars there by the looks of it! I knew an 'S' reg Sud with FJO sounded familiar - here's the Sharpes Sud rallycar from back in the day!

I can't believe how close that number plate is to the one at the show.

Thanks for all your kind words guys, so pleased to know how much you like the car. There were a few people who thought I was making a big mistake with my choice of colour. I think we will make MITCAR quite a show. I need to get on with the door cards now.

Anyone on CAF in the Northants area who needs tuning services, I will recommend Northants Motorsport. Troy or Steve. Steve did my car and set up the stuff I can not do, ie: ignition timing and tuning the rebuilt carb. The car is now running the best it has ever done. They love old school (skool) retro motors but can do all your high tec electronic fuelling plus rolling road for the serious stuff. Tel : 01604 766624.

Keith.

I got a similar amount of earache for choosing green for my machine. And the vehemence I encountered, how could I possibly not paint it red???

Your car looks utterly fantastic, I bet you're glad you stuck to your guns now!

Lauren

PS - my Baccaruda was painted Skoda Orange. It's an excellent hi-vis colour!

That colour you have your car in suited it very well.
