I have 1 passenger wrist band for someone to use and yes you can buy on the day for £10. Crash helmets can be hired but I will have a spare that people can use if needed.

All set for the 13th - can't wait!

If I'd have known sooner Kev you'd have been welcome to borrow it back and tested it round Cadwell..

Hi Ted and gang,
Just a quick message to confirm that the Cadwell day is still on?
Hope it is as I am looking forward to meeting up and putting faces to names and seeing some Alfas on the track.
Cheers.

I hope so! i'm just about to leave home with the Sud all loaded up on the trailer. I'm meeting Jamie Porter at Huntingdon, he's bringing a 4C and another mate who's bringing a Lotus.

Weather looks awful but the club house will be OK and we'll all have to be careful.

See all in the morning!

well, the great weather of previous years boxermeets couldn't surely last could it?????

no chance!!

wet & windy was the order of the day.

still a great turnout for an octobber monday. 8-)

well done to ted for yet again thrilling all with many passenger rides in his amazing sud

the justsuds 33 made the long trek across the country, well done again guys, really nice to have your support

jamie porter for daring to take his brand new 4C onto track despite the terrible conditions

there was also a red S3 sud that i didn't get chance to have a caht with the owner, plus a black 20VT engined 155

nice to see a few hardy members along to spectate also, we must be mad! and a special well done to kieth for making the 120 mile trip up north to see us all in filthy conditions, well doen kieth ;)

special thanks from me to jamie for a memorable passenger ride in his 4C 8-) despite the conditions we saw 100mph as we crossed the start line only for the car to be aquaplaning along the rest of the start straight due to the huge amount of standing water 8-)

i'm told ted was equally brave but i didn't ride with him today

a few of my pics from the day, the pics on arrival and leaving show the conditions didn't really change all day :D

sure there will be better pix to come but here's my few from my little point and shoot camera.

Ted, massive thanks again for the trip around in your Sud, you are a fantastic combination. I will still need to try a dry session though!! :D :D :D
Managed to shave 15 minutes off my journey home, 3hrs 15 min.
Nice pictures as well, mine were blurred of the 4c.
Great day.

Decided at 5.00am not to bother with the 4 hour trip as it was peeing down here before I went to bed.
So I decided to go to work instead - what a plonker  even driving 4 hours to get soaking wet and then driving 4 hours back would of been much better than my day
Serves me right I suppose

Hope you all got home safely, maybe next year eh !!!!

Despite the weather, or, possibly because of the weather, we had a really good day, the challenging conditions adding to the experience rather than spoiling it ! - the standing water on the start finish straight and park straight would make the car lurch sideways randomly, and without warning, and the spray from cars in front made overtaking very difficult, - we had full wets on the car and it was difficult, how Ted managed with Toyo R888 s I really don't know, - respect !! Great to see everyone, Opentrack do organise a good day, we certainly filled up on the free donuts, biscuits, crisps, and tea, it kept us going through the day !

Still had a great day regardless of the weather. It was great to see everyone and catch up over a brew and a warm up in the cafe!

Sorry that not everyone had a ride in the Sud but mid afternoon the weather and track conditions were getting so bad that I just didn't want to damage the car - it's just too precious to me.

I might be back at Cadwell in November, again with Opentrack events, so, if I am I will let people know and if people want to come along they will be welcome!

And as for Jamie's 4C.......what an awesome bit of kit and he was VERY brave going anywhere near the track in it!

The event was great! I was in the slow red Sud and my father was in the TR6 (brave man!). Opentrack have uploaded the photos to Flickr now, and there are some great shots, so it's worth a look.

I agree that the rain certainly added something to the experience!

Cadwell is a great circuit and Opentrack are very good at what they do.
