2021 Sud Anniversary events

Now, as you know I'm a bit of a Sud anorak. 2021 marks the fiftieth anniversary of Alfasud, it being introduced at the Turin Motor Show in 1971.
Such an anniversary should be celebrated I think we'd all agree.
So, as some of you may also know, I'm a founding member of Club Alfa UK and we're putting together our programme of events for the coming year; a year which will see the Alfasud justly celebrated as the featured model over most, if not all of our Shows and rallies up and down the country.
Of course, there are still a lot of uncertainties caused by the Corona virus outbreak but we already have a number of venues provisionally reserved for 2021 and these will become part of our events calendar as and when they are confirmed.
So, rest assured. The Alfasud's fiftieth anniversary will not go unheralded and will actually be a significant feature of our Shows and rallies this year.
Keep an eye on this thread for up-to-date details as and when they become available to us.
Stay safe and many thanks.

Thanks Colin .Sounds like we’re in for super sud anniversary year. As long as we can get rid of this sodding virus first.

Thanks for sharing Colin, goes without saying that there will be great interest on this forum to offer support to the event, not to mention a good few cars!
Fingers firmly crossed the opportunity becomes reality... 8-)

Really hoping some events go ahead this year. Would be nice to get mine out and about, although far from show worthy, and would be great to see some others. Mine is the only one I’ve seen in the last 10 years or so

We're on for the first big show of the year.
www.italiancarsandbikes.co.uk
This will be a ticket only event and you can book them online using the link on the website.
You will notice during the booking process that it asks you for your make of car and/or Club. Can I pease ask you to complete this section with either Alfasud or Alfasud Sprint.
That will enable us to allocate sufficient space onsite for our cars and should ensure that all of our cars are parked together in celebration of the landmark anniversary.
Many thanks.

Good to know there are some Sud’s attending and the weather looks promising
I can’t make this event but talking with Ian Brookfield last weekend there are quite a few people that are going to the AROC event at Bicester Heritage 27th of June
Who’s planning to go to that event on here ?

Sorry I can not make the event Colin, but you will have to get loads of photos for us all to see, Don't forget your sun block.

Gary, I should be able to make the Bicester show even though I will come in the Giulietta.

I think they may still be available for AROC members only
Are you a member ?

Yes, I spotted that so joined and then ordered when my membership number came through!

Hopefully they’ll accept my confirmation email on the gate if my membership card doesn’t come through in time.

Currently debating whether to stay somewhere near on the Saturday night or just get up earlier on the day...

Well what a great day Sunday turned out to be
Weather was a little damp to start with but soon stopped and there was a fantastic turnout of Suds and a few Sprints as well
There were a least 35 cars there so by far the biggest number for many years
Link to pictures here https://www.aroc-uk.com/gallery
Great to see Keith's car again
Shame that you could not make it this time Colin - I can't wait to see "ODE" again now fully restored - maybe at the Yorkshire wildlife park event later in the year ?

Well it was a good turn out of cars, 36 Sud variants in total.
Great having a chance to meet up with some of you and having a catch up. It has been a long time.
Finally, well done to Gary for winning the class with his lovely Sud.
Thanks for the link Gary, some great photos.
