It's time to start the countdown to this year's National Alfa Day to be held at Weston Park in Staffordshire on July 1.

I'll be organising a dedicated parking area for Alfasuds and Sprints so please let me know if you would like a space in our display and I'll book you in.

Thank you.

Hi There.

Will your area only be for Suds and Sprints or a CAF gathering?

Weston is not too far from me and I might try and get across with the 33 rallycar (its got Sud running gear???)? I also know someone with a 33 racecar from Telford which is also quite close.

Last time NAD went to Weston weather was pretty horrendous so hope its better this time.

All Sud and Sprint owners welcome. CAF or anyone.

There'll be a line-up of 33s adjacent to the Alfasuds so do come along and join them - and see us too - on the day. See you there!

Sorry guys. Much as I wanted to come too many things I needed to get done at home. Hope you had a great day and avoided the sunburn.

That's my idea of a camper van 8-)

Cracking clean V6 engine bay, nice row of 145's and nice to see 155's still abound.

Thanks for putting the pictures on Keith

Long day with over 6 hours sat in the car but well worth it to win the overall concours prize - did not expect it as there were some very nice other cars entered

2 overall wins for the Alfasud's and about 14 suds in total so a good day all round

You're welcome Gary,

A good turn out of Alfasuds, sorry I never photographed all of them.
Met the nice family with the green Super and told them to check us all out. They have not had it long but hope they enjoy it.

Not sure if I met Andi to be honest Tony, I get to chat with many people at these shows.

Many thanks for turning out on the day guys.
With only one or two exeptions, everybody who said that they'd show up actually did so we ended up with a great line-up of cars on what was a lovely sunny day.
I'm afraid that due to checking out issues at our overnight accommodation (Booking.com? Booking useless!) we arrived late but still managed to get to speak to a lot of you and I'm really chuffed that the Boxers had a twin win with the awards. Well done Gary and Keith.
So, thanks for your support. Orgasnising display parking for our Suds and Sprints at AROC events like this is only worth it if people turn up and turn up you did! Thanks again everybody! Nice to see so many enthusiasts and owners helping to keep the legend alive!

Sorry I missed you Colin.

Was a good turn out and we should have been in the row behind the 105's !

Now far more rare and interesting :D

I thought it was a great venue Colin, sorry I didn't see you there, we usually bump into each other.
Top marks to the organisers for choosing Weston Park. Plenty of space for walks and the play area for younger family members.
:D

The AROC Keith always try to find spots that are not only ideal for Alfa Romeo Owners to display their cars but are also venues that offer facilities for all and other family members to enjoy.

The only gripe we members sometimes have is that, as a national Club, we feel that the major events should be held throughout the country and not always in the Midlands as was the case this year i.e. Spring Alfa Day at Duxford in the South Midlands and NAD at Weston Park in the West Midlands with MITCAR (Midlands Italian Car Day) yet to come.

This clearly makes attending these events for members living elsewhere in the UK an expensive business with the necessity for overnight accommodation due to the distance involved, which obviously keeps overall attendance numbers lower than they should be on the grounds of cost. There's also the real risk of having the same cars attending and displaying twice, as was the case at Weston where generally we saw the same cars and owners attending as we saw at Duxford.

For 2019, I personally hope that we go back to the North-South of the country split for events for a fairer spread nationwide as in previous years to allow more owners to get involved and see a greater variation. We'll see....

Sorry, the sun was shining on the bonnet and you couldn't actually see it clear on camera . It was a champagne colour with a vinyl of this on the bonnet.

Nice, image of the first album cover, not sure I would put an image like that on my car as much as I enjoy all of their / his music though. But hey each to their own. But still a pretty cool iconic cover from the late 70s.
