Autokarna wollaton park 2017

An impromptu decision this morning not to work another ruddy 7 day week led us to our local annual Autokarna meet in the grounds of wollaton park in nottingham, and it was one of the best yet.

Sadly not too many Alfas, equally rare sights from Lancia and Fiat, but here are some shots of some of my favourite cars of the day

And amongst my favourites, a few taken specifically for folk i know are also fans

Nice one - lovin' the HPF and Zakspeed Capri. Looks like a great day out, hope it wasn't as scary an experience as the security checks imposed on us (together with compulsory registration - even for spectators) at the Goodwood Breakfast Club... bit scary really, but I suppose understandable in the light of recent events

Yes i knew there was at least a few for you lauren.

Actually i think the Firenza was in my top 3 of the day, and there was also a chevette which from a distance i thought was a hsr i know from Nottingham, but it turned out just to be a lotus'd 1.3!

Ha ha! Tell you what, the 30 mile round trip in traffic firmly demonstrated how far cars have come in the last 65 years! I felt like I had run a marathon by the time I got home!
