Christmas meal?

Post by Fiatchris »

Hi all, good to catch up the other night, how about a Christmas dinner at the Great Northern? The land lady seems very accommodating, the food is great and we did it a couple of years back. I would even go so far as suggesting a family night, I really must get my kids up to that fence for some extreme trainspotting!
What do people think? If it fell on our staff night out... even better as I need an excuse not to go! 8-)

A quick bump for this thread as there seems little attention yet,

Have you all stopped eating and drinking?

The GNI has agreed all sorts of meals & deals for us, she's up for anything really :o. to drum up good trade so very accommodating.

No need to drag the car's out in the cold, just get yourselves there to see the year out really.

Who's up for it?

There are some rooms very nearby, or another possibility would be to move the event to the Ashiana Indian, located on the Muskham Island one junction further down on the A1, and they have traveller accomodation which is more than adequate and reasonably priced too?

As for a date, i'm completely easy personally, so i can work round whatever suits the majority of you guys?

Ok guys

Thursday the 8th December, at the Great Northern Inn, arrive circa 7.30pm or sooner if you wish, and we'll be ordering grub around 8pm hopefully.

There are local B and B's for anyone who wants them, and even the pub's landlady has offered a bed she has in her updstairs digs for someone.

Please try and get if you can, be great to see the year out with a wee dram! :D
