Yes, I'm going with Panther as well - either a Lima or Kallista, not sure which.junior wrote:Is the first one a panther ?
I feel I ought to know the blue tailed car, I think it is American I just can't place it...
Re: The Puzzle Post!
Yes Lauren and Junior. Panther Lima. Blue one is a Yank, you must know it Lauren.

Looks lile an FC series Vauxhall Victor / VX to me.Spacenut wrote:

Re: The Puzzle Post!
Yeah, I can imagine, must be stiffer than the steel sportscars of the time. Bet the fibreglass crazed all over the place around the exhaust though.alfadave wrote:Yes a Rochdale Olympic.....but a Phase 1 with the aerodynamic underside.
The Phase 2 I'm working on was opened up underneath to allow engine/gearbox/prop/axle to be dropped out.
The Phase 1 is therefore stiffer, and handles better.....not bad for an early 60's design.
There were some pretty spectacular fibreglass 'indie' cars in the 60s, I love most of them - the Rochdales, Lotuses, Reliant Scimitars, Bond Equipes, Gilbern, etc. Shame the regulations are too tight for any more indie manufacturers to start up nowadays without a huge wad of cash, would be great to see that similar level of originality displayed on something made out of ultra-light carbon fibre using all the modern CAD techniques to optimize it's rigidity vs weight, rather than seeing the same old boring SUV design churned out by everyone.
Re: The Puzzle Post!
I was thinking more Chevy......Malibu or similar, but the same, just cannot quite place it. Catalina ?mj2k wrote:Looks lile an FC series Vauxhall Victor / VX to me.Spacenut wrote:

Re: The Puzzle Post!
It's got me stumped. Although I was briefly wondering if it was actually the front of the car and not the back. Still can't place it though...junior wrote:I was thinking more Chevy......Malibu or similar, but the same, just cannot quite place it.
