Looks like it is based on a Moto Guzzi Le Mans from the 80's. I wonder how he sorted the final drive out?

Oh this wee beastie again eh! lol!

yes this has arisen a few times over the years, and funnily enough, the drivetrain was exactly the question i raised previously, which i think at the time these photos were taken, there was no actual drivetrain fitted and the project was incomplete.

if i recall correctly, someone, may have been lauren, discovered it to have finally used a bmw boxer bike related gearbox with an adapter knocked up rather nicely.

i think we've all seen alfa boxer engined trikes and such, which i generally dislike, but i really like this, to the point that i wouldn't mind building one myself.

and i also like the fact that he steered clear of a late or 16v engine, which undoubtedly would be notably quicker, but its not as good looking or lightweight, and i suspect a lot less suitable for a perimeter bike frame.

:P

Yes, I think it was me. I initially thought the builder used the Guzzi gearbox (obvious choice really), but there was a write-up in the AROC magazine stating that it used the BMW shaft drive gearbox and a 1200 boxer engine.

It's a gorgeous machine - like you, I've seen all the silly Busso trikes and Kustom Kruisers and what-have-you, but this stands head and shoulders above the rest. It is a totally convincing vision of what a 4-cylinder boxer bike should look like!

Beat me to it - first thought was Lotus Evora, but then realised it was a Tesla.

We're quite busy following Elon Musk's other effort at work - the Spacex Falcon 9 booster!
