I like all of the tunes you guys mentioned. Then again, my first gig I remember as a kid was Ceasers Palace in Luton early 1970's . Fell in love at a young age with Diane Lee, of Peters & Lee fame.

Yes I adore Kate Bush. Cloud busting is one of my all time fav tracks also her duet with Peter Gabriel on “Don’t give up“ is superb very thought provoking and makes me tingle .

Hounds of love album is fantastic from start to finish. Did like a lot of her earlier album stuff as well. Only problem is as a bloke she is too high to sing along with.

After reading the comment section, obviously some of their stuff is used in tv soundtracks. Oh god !! have I got to get Netflix or something?? I watch too much TV as it is.

If you fancy an 8 part weird but thrilling watch with great soundtracks then Sharp Objects is the one for me.
Gonna watch them all again over the next few weeks while I'm off

Now that is spooky Kev, this morning I went on youtube. I knew nothing about this but I looked up some OMD tunes. Perhaps there was a subliminal message on there.

Really enjoyed it too Keith, took me back to my youth

Guy who rents the unit next to me, Sean, he also does a few cars up. Not met him many times before over the last 5 years or so as he's usually down South or wherever playing music. Seemed nice enough of a lad, living the life as you'd expect of someone being paid to go out playing music.
Of course since the lockdown all his gigs have dried up so he's come back home to see his folks for a while.
The last 2 or 3 weeks I've got to know him a bit better, this week he got a Mk1 Cavalier in to do some bodywork to.
Last night he says to me "Kev, if it gets a bit loud don't worry, just got some guitar stuff to do, but it will be loud!"
"Do you need me to stop the compressor or grinder?" I asks...
"No it'll be fine"

Today he shows me what he was doing on his phone.
He's been experimenting with digital video editing as apparently the money they spend on music videos is hideously expensive and not within his control.
To be honest I'd not even thought about it, thought it was just a guy playing in the pub rather than anything more serious.

I do like what he's done with this though, all filmed on his iPhone 10 feet from where I was making a right racket
His two dogs are the nicest dogs you'd find, not at all like in the vid, the Spaniel comes wandering in bone in mouth, has a sniff at the filler dust on the floor, is happy enough to have a pat on the back then wanders out again, really is a nice atmosphere building in our little corner of the world, Sean doing his stuff, Terry the older guy who sets us straight doing his MGB and me. All within a few yards of each other, no hassle, sometimes life is good

The most important bit of that is that you recognise its good at the time, rather than way later as many do.

Just goes to show , you never know what might be going on right on your door step.

James Murphy said it was just a mad daft song for a laugh, that video must have been done in one take or there'd be a lot of cleaning up between shots!
