Polished the 145 just in time for the hail to bounce off it. Then stood and watched as the water ran down in rivulets - always gives me a strange sense of self satisfaction. :D

wish i'd got time to prop the bar up :D

finished the wiring for the 147 towbar, complete pita with the stupid 7 way relay that also needed a permanent 12V so had to take one through the car from the fuse box. stupid wiring, i hate it.

gave it an oil & filter change too, will be getting some use now the puntos' on it's way to a new home.

just in to have an afternoon watching motogp.

love 'em.

had the jtd before.

great little cars, nice to drive.

16V gets the 6 speed 'box, 8V's have 5 cogs.

can suffer a bit with warning lights etc, egr needs pampering every 6 months or so but is a dodddle to take off and clean.

mpg not bad, around 45 to 50mpg.

comfortable, air-con, hatchback, reasonable boot but seats fold for bigger loads, standard cd player is pretty good, modern looking, overall a decent cheap car.

am actually contemplating getting a GT also but they do go for a little more cash, as you say. only 3 doors too which isn't so useful family wise but they do have folding seats.

the lack of folding seats on 156 saloons makes them pretty useless to me, apart from having the 147 to use i guess?

I love him ... even though he has been, shall we say naughty! I would hate to think what he's cost me over the years .. but once your bitten .. you just have to drive with one hand in your pocket constantly ... well I do with him at any rate.
To be fair .. he's actually not been that bad in recent year .. probably because I'm not doing close to 40k per annum in him any longer! I just inherited somone elses misery when I bought him .. one of those things really .. ah well ... ill get him to 200k ... thats my mission ... :)
