Long Term Ownership.

Post by Ted27sud »

Not technical I know but didn't know where to post this.....

30 years ago today I bought my gorgeous green Alfasud and have enjoyed every moment!

I was wondering if there are any other people with long term ownership.........?

Alfa 75 V6 - 19 years ( got a water colour painting of it hanging on the wall at home)
Sud racer - 12 years (14 elapsed if including 2 years elsewhere before it came back)

Both gathering dust, but safely tucked away from the elements.

Hi Mufasa, Search 'Ted and Shrew' in YouTube to see some on board footage of Shrew and me at Cadwell in the Sud.

Petrolhead also did some trackside shots as well if you search 'Ted Pearson Alfasud' again in YouTube.

Finally, PetrolHead and Ralph Bee filmed the Pre 1992 Alfa race at Cadwell, June 2013 Which was quite a good day............. ;)

When I met my wife in 1997, she had parked her Sud next to mine outside a party and came in searching for the other Sud owner. She'd had the car for at least a couple of years at that stage, so we're getting close to 20 years.

Here's a pic in 1997 when Fi took me (new boyfriend) along to a club day at Phillip Island to watch her drive. It was the daily driver at the time.

Here's the car 14 years later...

Hi, new to this site, but have to say how much I enjoyed the you tube clip of Ted and Shrew at Cadwell. Great to see the other suds as well. Not yet sure who you all are but thanks.
Had Alfa's most of my driving life, as for long term, the sud I own now will be it. So far, seven and a half years, on the road for two. Still fettling her.
Keith.
