Anyone got a 1500 block?

The last block I used had some rust in the bore. I removed most with the hone, but clearly not enough or I went too far. I have low compression on that cylinder.
I want a block I can transfer everything to without extra work.
It's for a Minari that I want as a track car.
The 1700 would be interesting in the future but I am not ready for that yet!

If there are a good source of 1700 parts available, you could build the 1600cc screamer?

Most who did it, liked it, and i'm sure LouLou can probably explain it and supply it!

Funny you should mention that Shrew. I’m actually thinking of reworking the 1500 (1525) I built in to a 1600. It’ll actually be 1634 as the 1500 is 85mm (1 mm OS)

What mixture of parts = 1600 screamer? Sounds interesting.

87mm bore - 1700 pistons, - with a 1500 ( 67.2mm stroke ) crank, - the 145 / 146 1.6 boxer engines did it the other way, with 84mm bore and 72mm ( 1700 ) crank, - short stroke = revs !
If you still need a 1500 block I'm sure I will have one, - let me know if you do.
