Narrow Oil Filter

Hi everyone - the Green Machine has passed another MoT, with no advisories this time, so I would like to treat the old girl to an oil change.

Thing is... I have notched the chassis to accept the oil filter and only the narrow type will fit, which I believe is intended for the Alfa 33. Does anyone have a specific part number for this narrow filter? It seems likely I will be ordering the part online and I don't want to get the wrong one.

Do you mean the later black filter, not the orange one ? I bought about 10 from alfashop a while ago, I’ll go in the shed and check the part number., be tomorrow.

Try Ian Brookfield at sudshop, he might have something but I’ll get you an original part number.

The Mann filter is exactly the same size as the genuine black filter, part no. 0046805828-001, - I've both in stock !

I was hoping to avoid having to scrabble around under the car but I think I better check the diameter. 76mm sounds about right though...

Which ever you buy, worth checking it has a non return valve as OE spec.
Gives immediate feed to the bearings on start up.

Yes, I confirmed the Mann filter has the non-return valve, and my current filter is the 76mm diameter variant. The non-return valve is very useful now that I have reverted back to the original filter location on the side of the engine (my old remote filter location was higher than the main oil gallery so effectively primed the engine without needing a valve).

Interesting that Sudshop have large capacity CFI oil filters, for those of us with space to fit them.
Never seen that make before. Must get out more often!
