c pillar badge, s3 Green Cloverleaf

Post by chriswilliams »

My C pillar badges are currently all silver and need renovating, but what are colours?

I think the background is black, and in my memory the clover leaf is green.

But I cant find a picture that shows that.

Does anyone have a picture to show what it SHOULD look like?

Chris.

The background should be satin black and all the raised silver bits should be silver. The cloverleaf on that badge was never green as std. however The rectangular “Alfasud “ badge on the tailgate does have a small Cloverleaf in green. (On Cloverleaf models only obviously)

Are there no rubbers under the badges in that pic Lou?

Doesn’t look like it Tony. I just grabbed that image off T’internet. It should have rubber gaskets

Thanks Loo,

However, I quite like the idea of a green clover leaf. Would anybody mind?

So, I have eventually done the badges, pictures attached.

I would not recommend it as a pastime. I found them very difficult to paint and the finished job is not as good as I would like.
Also, even though they are finished in clear lacquer I am not sure how well they will last.
Underneath there are new rubber washers cut from sheet to finish them off.

However, I do think they will (initially) look quite good.
