Corners under the scuttle. Can’t remember what causes it. I had a sud and I could hear water sloshing around bends under the dash. Found tank tape under the dash over some large factory made holes, pulled tape off and a sunami came out.

Must be some drain holes blocked but inner bulkhead corners and or under windscreen scuttle somewhere. .

Billy Ocean CD I think.........I’d be upset if it happened to me, I’d cry me a river.

Make sure it doesn’t get near the electrics, don’t want any smoke on the water .....

Ahh dear , I am going to section myself, sorry splant , as above have a poke in the scuttle corners

Try sealing the wiper spindle grommets.
Then the lower screen rubber.
Then have a look under the bonnet in the bulkhead area.

Well remembered Dave, it may very well have been the windscreen rubber and water coming under it.

Afaik there are two drain tubes in the bottom of each corner of the Windscreen, they could be blocked or the tube missing.

Is that there because they expect the rubber seal to leak

If you remove the glass hatch and thoroughly clean the rubber that may help. I had a glass hatch on my 33 that leaked after i first opened it after a long time. Cleaned and refitted the roof and it was fine.

The aftermarket ones fitted never had drain tubes as were just a hole cut in the roof then the sunroof bolted in place,
As Keith says, take the glass out and clean the rubber seal and the glass where it sits against the seal. A thin smear of Vaseline won't hurt either.

Most Sunroofs in UK sprints were aftermarket (But with Alfa Romeo branding)but they were fitted by UK dealers. I’ve fitted many sunroofs in suds and sprints
There was a couple of brands. The main one was a Panorama Tilting glass panel but we also fitted webasto folding Fabric Roofs .

They all looked a bit like they’d been “plopped” on top And they didn’t have drain tubes so it’s essential the glass sits on the seal correctly

Planning on putting some tinted film on even though it's tinted already as I don't like the light shining above my eyebrows so I'll have a good clean up.
