Windscreen Wiper Motor

Post by dave.armstrong »

Has anybody tried to upgrade their windscreen wiper motor by fitting one from a newer car?

There seems to be quite a few universal ones that look similar in size and layout but don't want to take the plunge without checking.

Also has anyone upgraded their washer nozzles?

I fitted one from Alfaholics and it works well, but also chum drilled out his nozzles on a 105 spider and then had masses of water coming out using the same bag and pump.

Hope that helps..

To combat the dribble of the washer jets I fitted a pump for each side, that got the juices flowing :D

If your wiper motor and washer pump are weak......check the earths......easy to forget about them where they are hidden away

My electrics were crap but I spent a day going over every contact with special attention to the earths and fuses with emery paper, contact cleaner and cotton buds and it’s much better.
