Thermostatic fan switch

Could someone post the correct wiring layout for the thermostatic switch which is located in the radiator please.

I’ve clearly done something wrong with the earth because when the switch is activated the reversing light comes on!

red/black and blue/black to rev light switch on gearbox

brown and grey/black to switch on rad

with the ignition on, try a metal paperclip between the connectors and see what happens

fan should run, and rev light should come on
