Is the estimate a bit high for a non-original car Dave? Will watch with interest.

Hello!

I went to the H&H auction today at Buxton Pavillion and it was packed with people. The Red Alfasud Ti Green Cloverleaf sold for £3500. It looked good and the paintwork was of a good quality. It was previously silver. I was close to bidding on this car but one last check under the bonnet revealed that all the brake fluid had drained away somewhere so I didn't fancy tackling that issue.

most likely the fluid had gone through the front caliper hand-brake mechanism levers.

strong money for an auction of a far from original car.

nice, lets hope the values start soaring 8-)
Giulietta JTD 170
Lancia Delta integrale
Lancia Flavia coupe 1.8 1963
Lancia Dedra turbo
Renault Clio 197 RS

I'm bad with people things
But I should have tried more

That was a good price then as the Buyers Premium is 12% + vat = £3500 + £504 =£4004.

£4004 will be shown as the selling price on their website and in the classic car magazines.
:)
Especially, as it had no brakes so probably needed new front calipers.

I would say he is a lucky chap to get this car as it looks really striking, nice interior and isn't too far off being ready for the road. It was previously registered in this country as an 'A' Reg and would be free to re-register. Someone can look forward to a saturday morning grappling with those calipers though!
