Oil Filter thread size

Post by Edward »

Does anyone know the thread size that the oil filter screws onto. I seem to remember it is not an obvious one like M20 but some weird imperial size some like 11 and 5/17's

Answers on a postcard please…. :)

was just over there trying to find the list of known good filters to use

don't go for the cheapest option ed, some don't have any non return valves at all and some just have the one ;)

i'm still trying to find the list, if anyone finds it please list it here, always handy thing to have to hand 8-)

Yes, did think about going there, but have made it a bit of a mission not to do so.

Didn't think just to straight forward google it….

It's odd that it took you there via that route with that answer and detail etc…

That would be a really handy list. I am trying to avoid anything that doesn't have the correct non return valves. Supposidely Alex is getting a batch of genuine Fiat / Alfa ones before too long.

I get them hand delivered if that is the case

That is cheap. I've seen some original filters on ebay going for 20 notes which is probably the same spec filter with orange paint
