Had a nice surprise today with an early Christmas present!
Once this Covid thing settles down, all being well and keeping safe, I'll at last be able to go and collect my Sprint from its temporary lodgings in Scotland in the New Year.
Good news in itself of course, but one of the last jobs to be done was the refurbishment of its original alloy wheels. Euan and the lads at C.P. Garage Services in Dundee have surpassed themselves with the now completed job.
All five wheels have been given the treatment and they look absolutely superb.
The outer rims are diamond-cut to a polished finish. They look amazing!
The picture doesn't do the finish justice!

Not the best photo, but these will look brilliant on the Sprint!

Hoping you'll be able to show it off next year Col, let us know on the forum if you get another event off the ground, I'm sure there's more than myself that is keen on seeing the car and having a good catch up 8-)

Thanks for all your kind messages. Very much appreciated I can tell you.
After what has been an absolutely dead rubber of a year, I'm certain that we're all determined to make 2021 a cracker!
Happy Christmas everyone. See you at a Show or three in the New Year! Stay safe.

There are just a few cosmetic upgrades and panel alignment adjustments needed now and I'll be getting her back early in the New Year once the Covid restrictions are eased.

The pictures aren't the best and don't really do the restoration any justice at all but she'll be out and about at as many Shows as I can manage in 2021.

Can't wait! :P ;)

No problem. The colour is called "Ionian Ivory" and the colour code is AR129 for the main bodywork.
The code for the wheel inners is 'Grigio Vesuvio 035'.
'Grigio Vesuvio 035' is also the code for the B posts on the Trofeo and the Speciale.
Hope this helps!

So, the virus strikes again...

I'm really looking forward to collecting the Sprint hopefully the sooner the better once it is safe to do so.

In the meantime, I'm keeping myself happy by drooling over the latest photographs of the near completed restoration.

Just the rear spoiler to see to now and the black roof channel trim to fit and we're ready to go.

Regular readers will know that this has been a very long and convoluted restoration but you have to have something to look forward to once the lockdown has ended.

God willing, we'll be seen at a number of Shows and events later on in the year. I can't wait!! :D

Stay safe everybody.

Looking great mate, love the crackle black finish on the cam covers 8-)

Good things come to those who wait, but you have a saintly patience most of us would have worn thin by now.

Looking forward to some sunshine and shows 8-)

Rolls Royce used to say that their engine power figures were "adequate".
But never quoted figures!

If it was mine I'd have it covered for £25k

Yep. I often wonder how I've managed to stay so patient but it is what it is.

None of the events causing to the delays could be foreseen or planned for but, as I've said many times before, it's all been worth it.

Another one saved and yes, I'd do it all again but then that's just the way I am. ;)

Shhhh.....🤫
The Sprint is on its way home if I can get things organised in time!
It could even be home in time for ITCAM at Newby Hall at the end of the month. 🤞
