Alquati Alfasud manifold

Post by dralf1965 »

I have just bought an Alquati Alfasud manifold and it has come with all manner of bits and pices, many of which i'm thinking are surplus to requirements. Do any of you helpfule guys have any nice pictures of how it should go together. Would be much obliged.

That is the only pic i could find too. Interesting that the manifolds look slightly different at the centre and mine doesnt have Alquati on it. The linkages look a bit home mad on mine. Will have to put some carbs on and see if i can mock it up.

That is what I was asking the seller about when you beat me to it. It looks like the Alquati name and cast number have been ground off and polished up , but it still looks good.
Like you say, you may need to mock things up on a bench.
Keep us posted, a nice touch.

Hi Nick - I see you have also fallen foul of the Photobucket 3rd party hosting rule change. Welcome to the world of picture-less posts!

Why not just upload direct from your camera/phone/computer?
I haven't used anything like Photobucket in years, and I'm useless at computer stuff!

Does the website not have an upload limit? If we all started doing it you might run out of space pretty fast, but if there's oodles of space I will upload direct to CAF in future!

There is a file size limit, the amount that gets uploaded overall is covered in the web space package that Shrew and myself pay for, which TBH does run out pretty fast

That's what I thought - it wouldn't take more than a few of my photofest articles to use up all of your allocation, so I think I need to sort out an alternative site to host images. Imgur has been suggested, but apparently their usage policy discourages 3rd party hosting already, so no telling when they will pull the plug.

I was thinking of setting up my own web server using a Raspberry Pi, but to be honest I would rather spend the time fixing my car!

It seems they will all charge for third party hosting, because adverts do not pay enough for them these days when everyone runs ad blockers. So i think we are stuffed as far as putting photos on here goes.

Hi, it sounds like the one I bought from Colin, and then sold on with the old turquoise race car. I never fitted it, but if I'm right and it is that one Colin should be able to talk you through it. Did you buy it if a guy from Preston, or Bolton area? Think it was one of those he came from.
