Haven't done a lot to the sud in a while but the other day took the front screen out as there was a little rust scab just coming out past the windscreen rubber and as the rest of the shell needs painting as well.
I knew that there was going to be some more rust once screen was removed but it has gone a little bit behind the dash so took that out as well.
I have booked a couple of days off work at the end of may to tackle this and sort out the rest ready for paint hopefully.

On a good note I got hold of some speedline wheels(cheers justin) and have had them painted in a metallic grey which I will think should suit the car .
So may sell the compomotive wheels that are on the car but they are in need of a refurb.

Wheels have come out nice.
What made you change you mind with wheel choice ?

I only changed the wheels as the speed lines were in better condition and easier to paint but I might still do the other wheels as well as I can get them painted at work really cheaply .

Just a quick question im thinking of putting a rollcage in the car with just two seats.
would that increase the insurance by alot and also would it effect the cars value if i came to sell it later on.
i like the look of the race car look with the cage but if its alot more insurance then i wont bother.

Hi Pat,
I would think the insurance would feel you are heading towards competition use and add more to the premium. I would also think for re-sale it would put some people off.
just my personal views. Has your brother got one fitted?
Best ask your broker. :D
Good luck, looking forward to seeing it.

The top hose going to the radiator seems a bit ...... Is it supposed to be like this? The current routing will limit the flow of cooling fluid slightly. The bottom hose seems perfect, only the top one seems to have this "issue". Potentially the angle from which the picture is taken makes it look like this?

Done a deal with shrew for some nice recaro black leather seats and better steering wheel and steering wheel boss expertly made by shrew(cheers mate :) ).
Met him at cambridge services today 130 odd miles away .
Journey up wasnt that bad until 5 miles away traffic ground to a halt ,i spotted 3 seperate rear end shunt car crashes witin about a mile of each other.
Journey back didnt go as well get to m25 motorway was stop start all the way to a3 turn off then it cleared only to jam up just before the dorking turn off so took that junction and went across boxhill (nicer country drive).
Sorry i couldnt stay longer shrew but needed to get back but thanks again for the parts they will make a nice addition to my car.
