My neighbour has a 1992 VW pick up.

The 1.9 diesel (non turbo) engine has a cracked block.

Anyone know where he can source a replacement. A full engine probably is best.

I presume Golfs of the same time had the same engine.

I’d contact Peter Grummit he does VW Stuff aswell as Alfa

I'd push it in the river, apart from the damage it'd do to the river

He's spend a load on having it welded!

Told him to try Stevens VW in Chelmsford

Tbh Breakers yards are full of old Golfs and Passats. That 1.9 diesel was fitted to a shed load of old VWs in fact If it was me I’d replace it with a 1.9 TDi Basically the same but with a puffer on it.
