S3 33 front screen.

Post by NUALFAMAN »

Desperately need to source a new window screen for my S3 33 has mine has a 2ft long crack in it and the MOT is due end of the month. It the bonded type I need.
Any leads, or numbers of people who might know of one anywhere in the UK.
Autoglass have taken nearly a month and £75 of my money, to dicide they can't obtain one, which they assured me that they could even though I gave them my doubts...

I didn’t have any problem getting a. Screen after a shunt at Mallory.
I’ll give my glass man a call tomorrow.

I had a friend at National Windscreens price me one up a couple of years ago, seemed to have no problem whatsoever with the listing and stock, choice of tints, bronze, green and clear if i recall correctly.

circa £130 fitted seems to be what i remember Paul, but it may have changed a little by now, but worth giving them a whirl?

Can't for the life of me remember what 'screen I was trying to get mate, might even have been a side or rear window, but I found a company at Peterborough that had the stuff at the right price.
Can't even recall the company name but I have the number stored, 01733 552244

Seems these are the guys...

I've heard many horror stories about Autoglass lately, know a few lads that work there as we do their vans.

Jim where I have the integrale had the rear window broken on his MG6 last year. DRM's at Skeg could get one next day for them but Autoglass buggered him about and eventually got one from another MG dealer out Derby way I think! Jim was without his car for 16 days.....

Btw Nualfaman I may still have a rear screen for the S3. 33 from when I went over fibreglass and Perspex . If it’s any use to put in your attic for a rainy day .
It’s the sort of thing that you don’t know you need it till your sat there with a broken window on a Sunday of a bank holiday weekend in the rain.

Thanks all
I will be on the phone tomorrow then.
And as I intend to keep the 33 I may well take you up on the offer of the loft filler Lou. Let me know the score if you locate it.
