75 3 litre parts please

Post by Ted27sud »

Just starting in earnest on my project 75 Twin Spark conversion to 3 litre 24 valve. Have received engine and ancilliaries but need the following if anyone can help:
75 3 Litre Prop Shaft complete.
RWD V6 Sump (GTV6 or 75 will suit)
Prepared to travel.

And I know this is a total long shot but if anyone hears of any SZ parts looking for a home, particularly front upper arms then please do let me know!
Cheers,
Ted

SZ parts eh Ted,

now i wonder where that plans going! ;) ;)

sounds like a superb project mate, can't wait to follow this one when you've some parts to work with.

if i can assist with any parts/car collecting, just holla, glad to help something like this along for sure :)

maybe worthy of noting, timveesix, already has a 3.0 75, and is considering better brakes, a 2.0 gearbox etc for it, so you could share some findings and knowledge i'm sure :P

Hi All,
Update:
Looks like I have a sump so that's ticked off so still need prop and bell housing.
I have a big brake kit - 4 pot calipers front and rear and vented disks so should be good there. Even got some Ferrari 5 spoke 16 inch rims to fit over them!
Chris Snowden does a suspension kit that includes the SZ type top arm so am speaking with him about that including front roll bar and springs and shocks (probably Koni with adjustable pans)
So, help please with prop and bell housing and we'll be all good to go!
Cheers,
Ted

There is a chap on eBay thar sells some 75 bits, Cheshire Alfa I think. Might have a prop hiding away so worth a try?

He has a web site here http://www.cheshirealfa.co.uk/parts/

re SZ bits, - Douglas Valley Breakers, who are local to me here, had an SZ for breaking a few years ago, a long shot I know, but they may have stuff left from it, they are pretty efficient and helpful, perhaps worth a phone call. Also, Will Dick, who used to run WAD in Wolverhampton had a few SZ bits in his garage, but that was also several years ago !

Doing quite well so far, got sump and bell housing but still need a prop.

Suspension: RSR in Germany do some up graded parts for the rear and the castor control rods at the front so they'll do and for the upper arms and other bits it appears that Chris Snowden does a kit that replicates the SZ. Problem is that last sentence will cost more than the car AND 24 valve engine, etc put together!!

Luckily I already have some big brakes and disks sitting on the shelf!

Hi Ted. If you get stuck for Propshaft. Might be worth having a word with John at Dave Mac Propshafts. (Sister company to Gripper Diffs) I’m sure they could sort something out
