Tyre 205/50/16.

Post by Nige005 »

It's been an expensive year so far and it's only early February ! Christmas, Birthdays, Car Insurances and VED, and imminent birth of twin Grandsons have left me feeling even more battered than usual !

So trying to keep costs down I'm after a cheapish tyre, size as above, Speed Rating R or higher and obviously not too far from Boston. New or used considered.

So if anyone has something even half decent cluttering up your storage I may be able to help......

I'm afraid i'm all dry on 16's folks.

Its a silly size these days Nige, you'd be better off in the long run getting some 17" x 7j alloys, and move on to 205 40 17's, (or 45 profiles if you want the rolling radius exactly the same)

205 40 17's are everywhere, new and used, and dirt cheap, even with a set of wheels inside them!

and before you all ask, No i don't have any 17 x 7 in 5x100 celica pcd to flog him at the moment! :o

i'm afraid you missed some beauties by a week or so!

Thanks Shrew, I'll have to think about this then.

I bought the Celica just as a Daily Driver and trying not to spend a lot of cash on it. Having said that I have to say that it is a nice little roller skate and fun to drive so maybe spending out a bit on it would be no bad thing, I'll see how the MoT goes in a week or so. Better be good as I've just lashed out £300 for a Cat and a Lambda ! I was prepared for this so it didn't hurt - too much !!!
