Sud rear screen seal

Post by LooLooSud33Spider »

Rear screen seal for a Sud (NOT hatch) I. Pretty sure this is for the early Booted S3 and May fit for the S2 with solid seal (no locking trim). I’m sure John will be able to confirm if this is the case. It looks like NOS as its got no evidence of sealant or other marks typical of a used seal.

I think this seal is the same size as a series 2 seal, but this has a lip running along the bottom edge that fitted under the top edge of the boot lid, - the series 3 boot lid was different to the series 2 in that it had a step along the top edge, and extra lights in it, so unique to series 3 booted cars, unless you could trim the lip off !
Cheers, John.

Thanks for that John. As you said The S3 boot lid was different. It also had a plastic trim across the top. I’m not sure the extra lip would stop it fitting a S2 as i think it was added to help stop water ingress (and therefore potential rust) around the rear screen but it could be sliced off
