75 3.0 V6 Veloce, BEST IN UK! SOLD SOLD SOLD!

Post by PETROLHEAD »

Ok, this is no exageration, i stongly believe that this is the best used 75 3.0 V6 Veloce you can find for sale today, anywhere in the uk!

Genuine 52k miles, full service history, maintained to the very highest standards personally, and professionaly, BLS and Alfaworkshop included.

Very recent cam belt, later mechanical tensioners installed by BLS.

Stunning rosso red bodywork, freshly refurbished 16" Speedlines (see the speedlines refurbished thread for the colour and process) wearing brand new Yokohama Prada Spec2'

Amazing car, awesome drive, and i think represents great value at the asking price of £5495

I've seen so called good examples of twin sparks now advertised for £3/4k, at 3 times the mileage too, so this is cheap for a 3.0 V6 in my opinion.

Now a rapidly appreciating classic, the last rwd Alfa with original Busso layout.

Much more details to come, but feel free to ask questions etc as you wish.

Lots of photos to come shortly, the weather was not kind to us yesterday so little point showing it wet through, but viewing can still be arranged around John, the owners work schedule.

people spend twice that figure making a dog as good as this, and will still be a lot higher mileage than this one.

what were we saying about under-valueing our cars.......

Awesome car!

Very pretty car isn't it, but I can't take camera credit yet, they are taken by the keeper John so far.

Hopefully I'll get the chance to do some David Bailey myself in a week or so.

Fancy it mate? ;)

In defence of the stick-ons; it was part of the original option list, along with the fake wood Momo, which was ordered by the first owner. It is a bit naff, but you get used to it, and maybe it stops you trying to set the tarmac on fire every time you drive it, who knows?

Testament to the fact that theyre still attached too!

Most genuine, and all aftermarket add on trim would have been long gone by now!

Like it or not, its a key feature to the originality of the car, and that can only be a good thing imo.

Whether it has a calming influence or not john?

Not unless it scented sandalwood or other such hippy notions! Ha ha!

Id pay it to be fair!

I know the car, i know the history, and i now know the personalities.

I know the price is different to some others, but if thats what i wanted, thats what id expect to pay today.

I think this year is quite a key year for alfa romeo, particularly the 80's and earlier.

Cars like this, and other suds and similar era models are finally being recognised as better cars than anything else available at the time, which are all currently selling for a lot more money too.

I hope he gets it, and i hope his market stance spells well for all of us.

Long live the mighty alfa romeo!

But i also hope you get your wish H! ;-)

Fingers crossed mate :D

Feel really sad for the original owner - I can't really see any work done to warrant the price increase :!:

As for "people" deciding that alfa's (and really any other make TBH) are "worth more" I really think that it stems from the owners AND owners clubs.

To make my point I have recently been searching (and nearly bought) a 155, OK you say there "not that special" BUT 80% of the current owners are increasing their value by not selling at "lower" prices - I missed out on a 20ts for £1800. now the next "sorted" one is £3000.
Its the same with 916 GTV's and 916 spider 3.0's. You can't buy one for sub £3000 / £4500. WHY - their not suddenly reliable or "not rusty" - its that they corner the market.
Yes you get a "cheap" one now and again (I missed out on a spider advertised at £3500 who sold it in the end to some smooth talking trader for £1700     ) but they will soon cotton on

Anyway enough of the ranting and COME ON SATURDAY :D :D :D :D :D

Again fingers crossed mate :!:
