Since you're all looking at Suds for sale:

I think that works out to just over 11,000 pounds.

Cheers!

That's the same as mine was. A series 3but with a boot not a hatchback..
How come it's only a single carb?

My understanding, from a previous owner, is that it is a series two (with original single carb engine) with plastic bumpers from series 3 fitted from new.

These early series 3 cares were almost a model in themselves, seies 3 bumpers, headlights, indicators, rear lights, the bootlid is different to a series 2 along the top, under the bottom edge of the rear windscreen, and of course for the rear lights, - the series 2 dash is correct, they all had that, I'm not sure on the engines, whether or not there were some with twin carbs, - a rare car !

Mind was a twin carb engine and I bought it off the guy who had it from new.
Not sure about the dash but column stalks were series 3.
Headlights had the metal backing plates but S3 surrounds
Wish I still had it but went to the great scrapyard in the sky back in 1991
