Currently for sale on Fleabag. I think the asking price is optimistic to say the least .

Yeah I think it was grass track . Tbh it’s unlikely to be viable to be restored and I don’t see it being worth anything like 4K
Just goes to show that as soon a prices rise everyone think they’re cars worth big money regardless of condition

Indeed it does, I still remember a short-lived Mercedes 190 classic price bubble shortly after the Cosworth was 'discovered' where the world and his dog reckoned every bog-standard 2.0 190e was worth over £4000, the market became flooded with overpriced, under-specced cars and the prices crashed so badly they ended up worth under £500, even for the powerful and previously desirable 2.6 straight 6!

Took years for the prices to recover after that, but despite the occasional bit of silliness like this Suds are rare enough for the prices to hold up even if people are trying to cash in and sell piles of scrap for thousands of pounds.

Indeed you only have to look at the Escort scene. How many complete piles of scrap (literally) but it’s got a V5 so its got to be worth 5-7k even more if it’s an RS or anything Avo. Worlds gone mad I tell you

Blimey, that really is insane, go back to the late 80s and you could have picked up 40-45 assorted Mk1s and MK2s for £7000 :o

Where's that time machine gone?
