My 145 1.8TS.

Post by Sud 145 »

OK guys and gals, my 145 failed its mot on the dreaded rusty floor pans and have reluctantly decided it's not viable for me to save - so you peeps get first dibs on here. So she's 1999 on a V reg genuine 78K full leather and all the panels are straight. I'm not breaking she will have to go as a complete car Rosso Red. Pics to follow tomorrow.

bear me in mind as a last resort Tony mate, let everyone else have first choice at it as it's not like I'm short of cars!
Just don't let it go to the scrappy or be parted out, I'll have it before either scenario happens ;)

Sorry to hear that Tony. Is it really bad, and have you had a quote?

£400 from my Indie Man - even he was totally shocked when we put her on the ramp, not a pretty sight just goes to show how it creeps unnoticed.

Nothing stupid - woul like her to be saved, there's less 1.8's than QV's. Or she can fall on her sword to save others. Was a difficult decision because she's been my daily for the last 7 years with no problems. :(

Don't suppose you took any pics of the rust areas mate? Or can elaborate any more on what's needed?

As kev said pictures would be good I did check the mot history and no previous advisory’s on rust so it been hiding under the sealer it’s floors and inner sills that it failed on

Sorry guys no pics of underside as I didn't have my camera with me. As you said the rust has been festering under the sealer and the n/s inner cill looks horrible to me. Kev might say that's "nothing" but we've all seen what he can reconstruct.
