Is it a 1400?

No, it's still 1286cc 8 valve. Exactly to the spec that the car was built to all those years ago. Approx 120bhp at 8500rpm.

Do you mind saying if that's at the flywheel or wheels?
Either way it's a monster sized achievement.

Flywheel bhp but taken from rolling road session and corrected. I think 100BHP per litre is nothing unusual and I should guess that my 8 valve 1800 engine is putting out 170-180 bhp.

Thanks Ted. I was thinking if it was at the wheels then mine loses 25% through the transmission so you're would be 150ish.
Mine's a 1400 and was about the 140 mark at the flywheel last time on the rollers.

Thanks Ade

What a fantastic race Ted, flying the Sud flag with full honours.
Two gents showing how it should be done. Cheers.

Simon, great edited coverage, and I like the slow motion. A Sud spitting flames, awesome. 8-)

Yes, great videos. The 100bhp per litre is consistent, as my 1500 has shown 150bhp. However I need to ask Santa for 3 things now.

1. Bigger brakes to replace the standard 33 callipers
2. A dog box and lsd
3. Some more talent...

Both Ted and Chris are very talented and capable drivers, and while The trofeo is clearly very well set up, it’s also Ted’s driving ability and race craft that gets it around the circuit in giant killing proportions.

Well done Ted, I bet that was an awesome race and the trofeo looked fantastic, I might see if I can join a HRDC race next year.

Yes, you should Tim. I couldn't get to all this year due to my FF commitments but the atmosphere in the paddock and the racing is brilliant. The cars are gorgeous throughout the grid, beautifully prepared and driven by enthusiasts. You'll do really well in your Sprint. Entry fees are a little on the steep side but I take the view that there are only a maximum of 3 per year.

Are you at Silverstone this weekend for the finals?

Cheers,

Ted

PS. Couldn't resist this photo take of the Trofeo - pressing on a bit........

Great photo, 2 wheels in the air...! I can’t make the finals this year, disappointed as it’s usually a good turn out.
