Alfa 8C Monza at Oulton Park
It was a nice surprise to find, amongst the Frazier Nash and Morgans at a Vintage race day, a 1932 Alfa 8C Monza in absolute pristine condition. I had a chat with the owner who is a top bloke. He told me about his amazing collection of Alfas, including a Disco Volante that was almost stolen but he tackled the thief in the middle of the night. The thief had got the car started and half off the trailer! The race went well for the owner, second place for most of the race until the leader lost the tail end on a corner and it looked like the Monza was going to have the front end crimped but he managed to swerve and take the lead and carry on to win. Forza Alfa Romeo!

I’m not sure but some argued it should be red!Sud 145 wrote:What a great colour - what's it called?

Seem to recall years ago some very rich guy had all his Italian race cars in this colour. Could be barking up the wrong tree. Lauren will know tho'
