Plastic Windows For Racing

Post by Marlow Sud »

Hi Guys,
I was recommended to use these people:

http://www.plastics4performance.com/

They do kits for Suds!
I am told you save a lot of weight that is at height - where you don't want it. I don't think the CTCRC rules allow a Lexan screen but the sides and rear are ok to change.

Not sure if the HSCC allow any plastic windows?
Do you know Tim?

The hscc does allow Perspex windows (edit) in all classes as a replacement to glass.

MSA regs need 4mm thick Perspex.

You will save a good few kilos going to Perspex on the sides and rear window.

I think this chap has been quoted on here before

Hi Guys,

We have bought 5mm lexan sheets from ebay and used the out-coming windows from the 1.5SC as patterns.
If anyone needs any Alfasud S3 windows (not the screen) then let me know.

Brgds,
Simon
