beautiful flaminia coupe, love the pininfarina lines. not a zagato fan myself...

the little appia had features way beyond it's years, a real gem of a car.

either would do me when i get the chance, sud sale would need doing first though.......

Really wanted to speak to the owner of the Appia I'd have loved to have seen the door arrangement with it being pillarless.

they had some fantastically over engineered features mate, like a louvered cover set for the radiator all done via engineered rods and linkages.
all beautiful stuff.

once both doors are open the access is amazing, like those show cars that are cut open. no "B" post at all 8-)

Yes, I snapped a pic of the white Appia at Brooklands last year I think. Opening up the front and rear doors must feel a bit like having a camper van :D

Most inappropriate pillarless car must be the Facel Excellence, famed for sagging in the middle and jamming the doors...

What a great concept, what sort of era are we talking here, late 50's or 60's ?

early 50's car originally kieth, about 10 years in production.
were massively expensive in their day though, sure i've read that they were about 3 times more expensive than a comparable sized brit car...
