No, just a few days of sanding, going through the grades dry, then wet flatting then polishing up...... x5 !! :x
I didn't lacquer them as the casting is pitted and each year I give them a re-buff prior to the next years use. Start of the year they come up like chrome, by the end they have quite a nice dullness to them. The backs are painted flat silver.

Keith, that Sud really does look gorgeous!

You'll have to bring it to the next Boxer meet!

Thanks guys I appreciate your comments.
You will see her at your boxer meet I am sure. I was talking to Kev about his plans for next year to get a good gathering. Looking forward to that.
I plan to have a fettle over the winter break to get her running a bit smoother and adjust the brakes, plus obviously, a bit of polishing :ugeek:
Thanks, once again for a great day I never knew travelling in a car in shocking rain, could be sooo enjoyable. :o :o
Keith.

Looks fab Keith, ;)
Looking forward to meeting you and your car at some point, there was no chance of me getting over on Monday, my busiest day of the way and as the missus was working I needed to drop my daughter off at school at 9am and be back in time to pick her up at 3.30 so it wasn't possible.
Maybe we can all arrange something during the winter months, a meet up at a car museum like Gaydon, Donnington, Beaulieu or something similar....

I am sure we could do something, but the Sud won't be out till next year now as I have a few jobs to do, plus I won't tax her till the Spring.
The trusty 156 is what I would be in. I love that car as well.
