How to slow progress

Post by Simonsud »

As if I need anymore excuses for not finishing anything of mine always doing customers cars
I had a little off in tignes I’ve got three cd worth of scans and X-rays I could show
All I can say is thankfully I went for extreme travel insurance and I’m waiting for UK transfer to drive me home at 9 this morning
As you can see shoulder didn’t look good also l2 vertebra fracture and right ankle fracture
Three weeks for ankle 6 for shoulder then about 6 months to get back to normal back is just a brace for 10 weeks hopefully uk doctors might say less
Alfasud is definitely on back burner and poor jcb won’t get out to any shows it’s a bit hard to drive with a good shoulder and back might not like the ride
Next issue is vw t2 on my drive waiting for reconditioned gearbox to be lifted in

Hope you get better soon, I see these injuries all the time where I work and you’ll bounce back in time, promise!

Nasty, wouldn't want that at my age. Us olduns take longer to heal. Speedy recovery - any pics of wrecked bike?

Bikes good I think I’ve not got it back paint a bit chipped it’s only a few weeks olds so will put in a claim for riding kit and bike damage transfer home was about £8000 and everything is covered so might as well claim for any damage good job I took extreme cover not my free Europe cover I get with my bank . I’m hoping full movement comes back ASAP it will be a good while to get full strength back but three weeks and I can start rotation and 6 weeks bones will be full strength I’m only 44 so youth on my side !!!! Not old just old enough to know better

My kids have been giving me greave for doing it but ankle is pinned and fully stable it was only a hair line fracture in France I was told three times it wasn’t broken . It never showed on X-ray only on one picture out of 12 from ct scan showed fracture think surgeon wanted a bit of practice plaster was over kill
I was twisting my back and tripping over cast which was not good for my back so it had to go . And I’m home alone so no one could stop me

Ouch !
That looks quite a body trauma. It is amazing what surgeons and the human body can fix.
Good luck with the healing process.
