I want to have my Olympic painted in Jaguar Midnight Blue (solid colour)

I could swear I have seen a colour code for it, but can't find it now.

Can a paint expert shed any light?

Hi Dave
I Just did a quick google and consensus I get is that Jaguar haven’t done a “Midnight Blue”
My conclusion is based on 10mins googgling so don’t take it as gospel. Maybe Keith can shed light on the code if it exists.

Morning
If it's not on the jaguar list .then it's going to be a case of going to a paint shop and finding the colour shade you want . But I'm not sure how many are still open . I would order off the net . because you really need to see in the flesh .not on a screen.
Unless your 100% sure

Hi Dave

I've ordered 400ml off these guys today. If I'm happy with the mix .then I'll order more . Just over £21 delivered. This is a base coat . But you should be able to order either as yours is a solid colour.
Hope this helps
Cheers John

Thanks John,

I'm very lucky, my son in law works in a body shop and gets the paint free!!

And does foreigners for me at weekends!

I changed my mind on colour, and decided on Iris Blue.
Solid colour, used on MGA's and early MGB's.

Pics to follow.....with help!

That colour shows the curves up well. They are a good shaped car with hints of several others in the shape.

After 4 years of intermittent tinkering, had my first run out in the Rochdale Olympic Phase 1 the other day.

Hopefully some pics will follow from Lou?

Very nice - after all this time it is a special feeling to finally get behind the wheel, well done 8-)

You can see why these cars were dubbed the "British Porsche" when the 356 was current. Probably goes better than the German car too, especially around corners!

The Olympic was designed on the back of a fag packet, by a very clever man called Richard Parker. Sadly no longer with us.

The Phase 1 had a fully aerodynamic underside........hopefully Lou will post a photo.
