Sat watching the usual Car porn on you tube over the weekend and came across a UK registered S3 Sud (A752HLR ) it’s yellow with a wide arch kit and a V8 engine. It didn’t go into much detail but I wondered if it belonged to a forum member.
Whilst it’s not my cup of tea and you could say it’s not really a “Sud” anymore. I just thought it was an interesting swap.

I can remember that car from the old Alfaowner days, build was done on their I think so could well still be in their archives. Can't recall the fella's name now, met him a time or two, once at Duxford IIRC, car had been done well. Spaceframed the front end, cut all the Sud bulkhead and chassis rails and made a tubular front end, think the wings and bonnet were fibreglass, all done very nicely though.

I wasn’t knocking the conversion. But it’s not really a sud now. As we all agree the sublime handling of the sud was part of its charm and appeal along with the character of the zingy boxer engines. by going Rear wheel drive and big hoofing V8 it’s just another Hotrod. That said as a straight line car I bet it’s a hoot to drive with a devil of a soundtrack !
