Agree the bumper does look great, this car was built two years ago I think it said in the thread. So it's about the time you where talking about the bumper mod . But I'm not giving you the intake as I've had mine there over ten years
Would be cool if he did join !! Like the fact he got the car down to 820kgs with a 40kg roll cage :D

Shrew...

Given that thats your 33....

and your restoration plans for it are worst than Johns....

Just find out how much shipping will cost for your bumper, and get it over with !

JB, i didn't realise your intake was through the inner wing into the wheel well void?

i'm not the first afterall! doh!

as for the bumper Chris, it would be wasted on you mate, you'd mount it on the roof of a land rover, or back to front on a sideways 3 wheel drive inside out sprint! ;)

are you ready JB,

ban him!

Back to the weight of the 33, if I remember rightly my all standard body and glass 33 with a very comprehensive cage was about 925kg with me sat in it in race suite and helmet, with a bit of fuel post race. Scales at home had me at 70kg.

So roughly 850kg empty. So removing some metal and Perspex instead of glass like the one in the link would get to 820kg quite easily. The compomotive MO's on my 33 racer were quite heavy also.

My old sud weighed in at 810 kg with cage, all steel and all glass for comparison.

Our 33 is down at 720kg - with oils and coolant but no fuel. Perspex windows do make a big difference for sure - especially as they are located high up, going Perspex helps reduce the centre of gravity.

when you see the car up close and underneath, the attention to detail, it's not hard to see how it got down to that.
lots of ingenuity and buckets of hard work.

So he's done no internal engine mods just a big air filter and a re-map. Is that with a different ECU or stock? Seems a good powergain for small changes.

Edit he's had an exhaust aswell

23 bhp increase seems a lot for the changes made.

My mates 16v shows 150 bhp with similar changes and lightly ported heads.

But, it usually depends on the rolling road used, some read high, some lower.
